NAOS signs United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment

During December 2019 NAOS signed the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).

NAOS employ an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) screen across all its investments, an approach we firmly believe contributes to protection of our shareholders capital and sustainable long term investment performance.

The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works to understand the investment implications of ESG factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions. The PRI acts in the long-term interests of its signatories, of the financial markets and economies in which they operate and ultimately of the environment and society as a whole.

NAOS CEO Sebastian Evans said: “We recognise and accept our duty to act responsibly and in the best interests of our shareholders. We believe that a high standard of business conduct and a responsible approach to ESG makes good business sense and has the ability to enhance financial performance over time. Becoming a signatory of PRI reinforces our commitment to fully exercise that responsibility.”

“We are delighted to welcome NAOS Asset Management as a PRI signatory”, said Fiona Reynolds, managing director of the PRI. “Their commitment demonstrates the growing awareness and importance of ESG to the investment decision-making process.”
